Pay Scale
The 2025-2026 per service rate for Principal is $211.52 per service.
Las Vegas Philharmonic contributes 11.99% to the AFM Pension Fund on behalf of the employee. Any musician winning an audition who lives more than 100 miles from the main performing venue is eligible for travel reimbursement of up to $300 toward air or ground travel, a $40 per diem stipend on days of rehearsals and concerts, and LVP provided hotel accommodations. Travel reimbursement does not apply to expenses incurred traveling to Las Vegas for the purposes of this audition.
Probation and Tenure
Upon successful completion of an audition and hiring by the LVP, a musician must complete two years as a probationary employee. To achieve tenure, a probationary musician must complete a minimum of 65% of the qualifying services as applicable to the two consecutive probationary years. Early tenure may be granted at the sole discretion of the Music Director.
Performance Venue
The Las Vegas Philharmonic is a proud resident company of The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The LVP’s subscription concerts take place in the 2,026 seat Reynolds Hall. More information about The Smith Center can be found at www.thesmithcenter.com

Send a one-page only resume to auditions@lvphil.com not later than Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 5:00pm PST. Applicants will be notified as to whether they have been invited or not on or before Friday, October 3, 2025.
The Las Vegas Philharmonic reserves the right to immediately dismiss any candidate who does not meet the artistic qualifications of the orchestra.
The Las Vegas Philharmonic reserves the right to modify the audition schedule at its discretion with all reasonable notice given to those who are invited to audition.
