Olivia Remak

Olivia Remak graduated summa cum laude from the University of Memphis in December 2023. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Music with concentrations in Instrumental Music Education and Flute Performance and a minor in Business Finance. As a performer, Olivia has performed in various studio and masterclass settings for notable flutists such as Aaron Goldman, Donna Shin, Maria Castillo, Lorna McGhee, Jacqueline Leclar, Emily Butterfield, Juilee Kim Walker, Brandon Patrick George, and Adam Sadberry. In addition to her budding performance career, Olivia has a passion for teaching and a vast array of teaching experience, ranging from private flute lessons to podium experience with a full band. In 2022 and 2023, Olivia served as the Flute Fellow at the Lutheran Summer Music Festival in Valparaiso, Indiana. In this role, she taught private lessons, coached chamber groups, performed solo and chamber recitals, and taught courses on musicianship and music theory. Olivia’s professional experience extends into the world of arts administration as well. Olivia has served as Music Librarian and Operations Manager for the Memphis Youth Symphony Program in Memphis, TN. In this role, she facilitated day-to-day operations and rehearsal logistics, in addition to organizing and printing music for over 300 students across seven ensembles throughout the concert season. She was also involved at Crosstown Arts, a non-profit contemporary arts organization in Memphis dedicated to further cultivating the creative community in the city. Olivia worked in both the Music Programming and Guest Services departments during her time at Crosstown Arts. Olivia is currently attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for her Masters in Flute Performance, with plans to continue her education into the doctoral level.
