Kay Sanderson

Kay Sanderson teaches violin, viola, & piano, and takes students between ages 6- 86 (literally). She attended UCSB, studying violin with Stephan Krayk, for four years, then UNLV for two years. She moved to Las Vegas from Santa Barbara for work. She played in Santa Barbara Symphony for 11 years and, after coming to Vegas, played in what was then the Las Vegas Symphony. She is still playing, though it’s now called Las Vegas Philharmonic. She has been lucky enough to attend many Adult Chamber Music Workshops during summers, in Humboldt, Ashland, Santa Barbara, and Tuscon. She has a Contra Dance band, which plays for her monthly dances, and she volunteer fiddles with the local NOFA (Nevada Old-time Fiddlers Association) at 55 & Older Communities in Vegas. “I’m very fortunate to make my living doing what I love.” -Kay Sanderson
