He comes from a distinguished musical family—both of his parents are violin professors, and his older brother is a professor of harmony at the State Music Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Mr. Gradev earned his Master of Music degree in Violin Performance from the State Music Academy in Sofia. From 1995 to 2000, he was a tenured member of the Sofia Philharmonic, touring extensively throughout Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, and Greece.
He is a laureate of the “Svetoslav Obretenov” Competition (violin) and the “Music and Earth” International Competition as a member of a string quartet.
