Storytelling through dynamic music for orchestra and choir complemented by dance came to the fore in this vivid program performed by the Las Vegas Philharmonic on Saturday, April 14, 2018.
The works performed included Paul Hindemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes by Carl Maria von Weber and Carl Orff’s towering and beloved cantata Carmina Burana, featuring the Las Vegas Master Singers, UNLV Concert Singers and Chamber Chorale, and original choreography by members of the UNLV Department of Dance.
