Youth Concert Series
Las Vegas Philharmonic’s annual Youth Concert Series (YCS) is one of the most impactful music education programs benefiting students in Clark County who learn in public, private, parochial, charter, and homeschool settings. Since 2000, YCS has provided much needed, free classical music experiences to approximately 250,000 children in grades 3—5, roughly 70% of whom attend Title I/At-Risk schools. This series is one of the cornerstones of our outreach and education initiatives. Prior to attending a YCS performance, teachers receive a detailed curriculum guide developed in partnership with the Clark County School District’s elementary music curriculum team which links music with other STEAM, social science, and humanities disciplines through a standards-based approach.
The Las Vegas Philharmonic also has a unique partnership with the DISCOVERY Children’s Museum which provides hands-on extension activities and learning opportunities for Title I/At-Risk schools following each performance. Extension experiences are interdisciplinary and integrate STEAM concepts related to music just heard in the concert hall.

We thank our education and community sponsors and individual donors who help bring YCS and other education programs to Southern Nevada
