The 35th President of the United States John F. Kennedy called all Americans to public service at his inauguration. His assassination just two years into his presidency left an enduring scar on the nation's heart. November 22, 2013 marks the 50th anniversary of that tragic event and at this concert, held on November 23rd, we honor not only a fallen President, but all of the men and women who have responded to his call and who have served and continue to serve this nation. Steven Jarvi, recently appointed Resident Conductor of the St. Louis Symphony, returns to conduct.
